Ceviche is one of the most delicious dishes in the world, but the country where they most identify with ceviche is in Peru, since it is considered as part of national identity, that is why many Peruvians feel proud, they mention that If a Peruvian doesn't like ceviche, he is not really Peruvian. It's a dish of high consumption, especially in the north of Peru, it is the central dish of our gastronomy.

Traditonal Ceviche

Tilapia Ceviche:

Tilapia ceviche is relatively recent in our country, this is because tilapia is not a native fish of Peru. However, for some time now, it has become part of the eligible fish to prepare a good Peruvian ceviche. The next reason is that its meat is very soft, delicate and with a quite acceptable flavor. It also has good color and a very pleasant texture on the palate.

Octopus Ceviche:

To make octopus ceviche, the ingredients and preparation techniques of a traditional ceviche are used. The difference basically lies in the treatment that must be given to the octopus before marinating it in the lemon juice. Boiling it is important because octopus meat is somewhat tough.

Black Shell Ceviche:

The black shell ceviche must be the most exotic of the Peruvian ceviche, not only for its appearance and intense flavor, but also for the aphrodisiac properties attributed to it. It is prepared more in the north of Peru.

Mixed Ceviche:

The mixed ceviche is a type of ceviche that every lover of seafood should try and enjoy without hesitation. This ceviche is the one that best shows the great richness and variety of products that our sea offers. It is called mixed, because different types of shellfish and fish are used for the preparation.

EATING HABITS

Hello, I'm Elam. I'm from Peru. For breakfast I usually eat bread with egg, cheese, avocado, ham or jam with cinnamon tea. Sometimes fruit juice or milk. At lunch my family and I eat different types of Peruvian food such as ají de gallina, escabeche, arroz con pollo, etc. At dinner almost the same as at breakfast or what is left of lunch, from time to time we order fast food.
